Christopher Woodhead

After a year in the Pan Bookshop and another as North London rep I joined the Pan export team and immediately flew out to San Francisco for the Distripress Conference. The intense round of meetings usually involved concluding with nothing other than “see you in Frankfurt next week”. And most our out in depth work was to work out the seating plan for the Pan Fontana dinner.

As my first trip I was then taken round Scandinavia as training by that great tutor David Love who taught me how to tip big and tip often.

I did Europe for a period and then became an old asia hand spending some years wandering round India and the Far East.

There are so many great memories; but usually the most enjoyable was meeting colleagues in ever stranger places and enjoying ourselves too much.
